Stretch vs. Flexibility Class
Stretch: Passive holding positions for 2-5 minutes to release muscle tension, improve circulation, and calm the body. Suitable for any age or fitness level.
Flexibility: Active stretches & strength-based moves to go deeper (straddles, splits, bridge) and improve mobility. Appropriate for teens and adults with some movement experience.
Who's it for?
Stretch: Beginners, office workers, athletes recovering – any age.
Flexibility: Those with some experience wanting to deepen flexibility and work on specific poses.
Can beginners do Flexibility Class?
Start with Stretch Class to build a safe foundation, then progress.
What to expect?
Stretch: Passive holding positions (2-5 min) to gently lengthen muscles and improve mobility.
Flexibility: Active movements, mobility drills, and strength-based exercises for deeper stretches.
Will I be able to do the stretches if I'm stiff?
Yes! All stretches can be modified to your level, with steady improvement over time.
How often should I attend to see results?
For best results, attending 2-3 sessions/week is recommended.
If you can only do one class/week, you will still benefit – muscles will relax, tension decreases, and your body enjoys the stretch. Even one class is better than doing nothing.
What to bring?
Yoga mat, comfortable clothing, water. Blocks/straps may be provided or bring your own.
Private or online sessions?
Yes! Both options available. Online via Zoom or pre-recorded sessions.
Classes help with back/hip pain?
Gentle stretching relieves tightness. Inform the instructor about injuries for safe modifications.
Class atmosphere?
Calm, supportive, non-competitive – focus on progress at your pace.
